NOT GUTTER is a hands-on print studio in Tamachi, Tokyo (Shibaura, Minato-ku). Using the SURIMACCA silkscreen kit, you can print your own drawings or lettering on T-shirts, tote bags, postcards, and many other materials.

The First-Time Plan takes 60 minutes. Bring your artwork, or draw it on paper in the studio. Staff support is included.

Choose from 36 ink colors. We also stock tote bags, drawstring bags, T-shirts, and other materials.

How it works

1. Decide what to make

Bring the material you want to print on, or purchase blank materials in store.

Materials available in store

If you contact us in advance, we can reserve stock for you.
SURIMACCA ink works on natural fibers such as cotton and linen, as well as polyester.
It can also be printed on paper and wood.
* It cannot be used on nylon or surfaces with water-repellent or other special coatings.

2. Prepare your artwork

Once you decide what to make, prepare your artwork.
If you cannot prepare it in advance, you may draw illustrations or lettering on paper on site.

* Copyrighted or trademarked designs may only be used with permission from the rights holder.

For PHOTO ART LAB, bring one image file or a photo on your phone. Staff prepare the print data with you.

3. Send a booking request

NOT GUTTER is reservation-only. Choose a plan and send us a few good times.
Open 11:00-18:00 (closed Thursdays, Sundays and holidays; sometimes open on Sundays and holidays). Bookings close at 18:00 (Japan time) the day before your visit, and we reply within 1 business day. In most cases, you can take everything you make home the same day. Payment: credit cards, transit IC cards (such as Suica and PASMO), QUICPay, iD, and QR code payments. For a first visit, choose the First-Time Plan. If you want to print a photo, choose PHOTO ART LAB.

4. Visit and print

Visit us at your reserved time. After check-in, your printing session begins.

If you bring digital artwork, please bring it on a USB drive or similar storage.

PRICE

First-Time Plan

Build your screen from your own artwork, choose a color, and print it yourself. Staff support is included; children are welcome.

3,500 yen per person / 60 min
Tote bag, S-size screen (20 × 18 cm), 1 ink color, 1 print

Change to a T-shirt: +500 yen (4,000 yen total).
Bring your own material: +500 yen.
Bring monochrome design data, a drawing, or a photo. You can also draw your artwork on the day.
T-shirts are available in white or sumi black, sizes S–XL.
The screen cannot be taken home.

Regular Plan

For returning visitors.
Print larger sizes, multiple colors, or on materials you bring, as much as you like.
This plan is mostly self-service, but first-time regular-plan users receive initial staff support.

For screen-making, you can choose 70 mesh or 120 mesh for each size.
If you use KOTTERI colors, gold, silver, copper, hot binder, puff ink, or Mokemoke Mix, please choose 70 mesh with cleaner. Cleaner adds 220 yen.
Screen-making only is also available. In that case, no space fee is charged.
Helpers and companions also pay the space fee.
Bring your own screen: +500 yen per screen.
Ink Plus: +100–200 yen to use the studio’s ink for one print. No color mixing.
